I knew from our first day in this crazy world that there was something fishy about Miraland. In our home world, Nikki is just an ordinary girl, studying fashion at an ordinary college——but here in Miraland, she’s somehow the most extraordinary stylist to walk the Seven Nations??
I have so many questions about this world, from the strange laws about styling battles, to the fantastic creatures that inhabit the skies and seas, to the mysterious Iron Rose Stylist Legion…
But my biggest question is where can a hungry cat find GRILLED FISH?!
When King Sayet died, he left three treasures behind. Miraland was thrown into turmoil, as styling elites from every nation battled for possession of the treasures. The ensuing contests were of unprecedented intensity, and became known as the “Nine-Day War.”
To everyone’s surprise, the winners were two newcomers to the styling scene: Princess Elle from the Pigeon Kingdom, and a pink-haired commoner known only as “Hostess L.” In a hard-fought match, Princess Elle claimed the first two treasures, but Hostess L won the last, and quietly disappeared amidst the chaos.
Eight years later, Queen Elle ascended to the Pigeon throne. Her first acts were to form the Iron Rose Stylist Legion, ordering them to seize clothes and valuable materials from other nations.
The Era of the Iron and Blood Queen had begun.

Nikki and her cat Momo find themselves transported to an unfamiliar land. Told by the mysterious Queen Nanari that her destiny is bound to Miraland, Nikki sets out to learn more about the new world. Along the way, she meets Yoko, a bubbly girl with a knack for getting under Momo’s fur, and Lunar, a talented designer from Cloud.
When one of her new friends is robbed of an important design by the Iron Rose Stylist Legion, Nikki chases down the thief and reveals extraordinary styling talents during their styling battle. She defeats the thief, but she seems to have made an enemy of the Iron Rose…

The December Troupe is performing “The Candy Witch and the Star Sea”! Nikki, Yoko, and Momo sneak backstage to peek at the costumes, but are caught by the theater manager. The entire theater is on high alert: rumor has it that the Phantom Thief may try to steal the titular Star Sea dress.
While exploring Cicia, Nikki meets a charming man who suggests that she go to the Designer’s Tea Party, an annual pageant for designers and stylists alike. Later, Yoko is shocked to learn that Nikki has met Queen Nanari, who had abdicated the throne for health reasons. Yoko muses that Nikki may be the “destined one” from another world, summoned to Miraland by use of forbidden arts.

Nikki is dragged into a styling contest against a well-dressed woman, who turns out to be Prime Minister Henry’s secretary. Henry, who grew up in the North Kingdom, had caught Queen Nanari’s eye at the Designers’ Tea Party, and is now the pride of Lilith.
The “Candy Witch and the Star Sea” finally premiers on stage, but something goes horribly wrong during the performance. Nikki, Yoko, and Momo race backstage to protect the Star Sea dress, only to find the theater manager Lisa dressed as…the Phantom Thief?

The gang arrives in Wintermount and reunites with Lunar to host the best booth at the Designers’ Tea Party. Surrounded by foreign styles from all over Miraland, Nikki asks Yoko for an introduction to the Seven Nations. In addition to a crash course on the styles and culture of each nation, Yoko tells Nikki that she must free Miraland from Queen Elle’s tyranny.
A girl bearing an uncanny resemblance to Nikki introduces herself as Haru, from the Cloud Empire. Yoko nearly dies of moe when Haru reveals that she eloped with her boyfriend Saki, since Haru’s father disapproved of their relationship.

A misunderstanding causes Haru to run away. Nikki helps Saki look for Haru, only to find that a mysterious assassin is chasing after Haru.
After an altercation with another thieving member of the Iron Rose Stylist Legion, Nikki is approached by two members of the Apple Federal Apparel Group. Nikki is shocked when Royce reveals that of one of the members, Kimi, is the heir of the Apple Federation Apparel, and when Kimi, in turn, reveals Royce to be the Prince of Lilith Kingdom.

Nikki, Momo, Yoko, and Lunar arrive in a flower field at the border of the Cloud Empire, where a great designer is said to live. Remembering Kimi’s advice about broadening her horizons as a stylist, Nikki resolves to ask the Ancient Pavillon Designer for his mentorship. She sets across the flower field, which conjures illusions of people she’s met to test her merit as a stylist.
At last they reach the pavilion, only to discover that the Ancient Pavilion Designer had died many years ago—leaving behind his disciple, Higo, and the vague memory of a pink-haired girl.

Nikki and her friends check into the Celestial Pavilion Inn in Moonlit City. While touring the city with Lunar, whose family owns a chain of textile workshops in the city, they run into Yasu and Prime Minister Henry on their dignitary visit to Cloud. Reports of arson at a factory forces Lunar to hurry away. Also in Moonlit City is Sofia—who lets slip that she is searching for two treasures, foretold to appear together in Moonlit City.
That night, Nikki encounters Haru again, hiding from ninjas whom her family had sent to retrieve a “precious treasure” on her person. She disguises herself as Haru in order to fool her pursuers and give Haru time to slip away. The plan succeeds, but Haru’s family ninjas suspect that the “treasure” they are seeking is actually Nikki, and attempt to kidnap her.

Nikki and her friends arrive at the Cloud Mill textile store to meet up with Lunar, but arrive to find that the textile store was wrecked. After asking around, they find out that the city’s mayor kidnapped Lunar and robbed the store of important spices needed for fabric production. Suddenly, Mela arrives with a mob of lackeys to rob the shop, but leave after realizing the mayor had already cleaned the shop of all its valuables. Townsfolk say ever since the Iron Rose arrived, the mayor became ruthless and greedy, plundering even her own citizens’ shops.
As they rush to rescue Lunar, Nikki (literally) runs into Officer Orlando. He’s in town at Prime Minister Henry’s request, investigating the Iron Rose Stylist Legion’s increasing presence. Orlando decides to help Nikki and escorts them to confront the mayor.
To everyone’s surprise, the mayor reveals herself as Moonlit City’s staunchest defender. Although, the mayor seemed to be collaborating with the Iron Rose, she was secretly working against them by replacing her citizens’ wares with cheap fakes, hiding the valuables in an underground tunnel. Kidnapping Lunar was simply a guise—her real intention was to ask Lunar’s help creating the fakes.
With the Iron Rose threat in Moonlit City under control, Orlando urges Nikki and her friends to hurry back to Lilith, where all of Miraland’s finest stylists and valuables would be present for the Fantasy Styling Contest.

Nikki heads to the Fantasy Styling Contest, where she enrolls as a participant in order to keep a closer eye on Iron Rose’s activities. Tensions intensify as the Contest is overshadowed by a looming threat: Queen Elle and her Iron Rose Stylist Legion. Political anxieties are palpable, and Prince Royce has his hands full managing the event, leaving Prime Minister Henry to handle Lilith’s political affairs. More than ever, Lilith needs strong stylists to defend its borders, and Royce entreats Nikki to win the Fantasy Styling Contest and become his Imperial Stylist.
The contest has also attracted some strange individuals, like the bizarre Fantasy Envoy, who introduces Nikki to a new kind of styling battle: the Super Fantasy Interlink Combination. Through these battles, Nikki befriends Ace, a purple-haired, purple-eyed wandering swordswoman, and a fellow competitor in the Fantasy Styling Contest.

Royce and Henry host the opening ceremony of the Fantasy Styling Contest, and Nikki flies through the early rounds, cheered on by Momo, Yoko, and Kimi. An uneasy feeling permeates the group tournaments, as the strongest stylists from all Seven Nations are present in full force. In particular, a tall, grim-faced group sitting in the first row seem oddly out of place amidst the contest festivities…
